We are very pleased to welcome Dr Jamie Anderson to the team. He is a Research Associate on WP4 helping to bring IWUN findings together and build a useful decision tool. His early work will concentrate on understanding the practical philosophy underpinning IWUN, asking questions such as what is ‘good’ evidence? And what theories inform IWUN’s work? He is also seeking an understanding of the strongest ‘decision aids’ available to place makers, keepers and prescribers.
Jamie is passionate about creating strong research and the translation of this into evidence informed design. Previously he worked for urbed cooperative as an urban designer and currently works part-time for BuroHappold Engineer’s Sustainability team. He continues natural experiment work started within his PhD with fellow NERC funded GHIA project, led by University of Manchester, whilst facilitating ‘trans-Pennine’ collaboration between GHIA and IWUN.
Jamie recently presented is work at the Consious Cities conference which took place in London on 3d May 2017.
