Congratulations to PhD student Francesca Boyd on being awarded a Nuffield Foundation Flowers Fellowship.
The Fellowship is for a three-month period funded by the Nuffield Foundation and is based at Parliament Office of Science and Technology. Francesca will work on an area of quantitative social science, science or technology policy and produce a POSTnote briefing.
After a detailed application process Francesca discussed a range of topics in her interview including the role of green infrastructure in urban air pollution through to how digital technology is changing education. The exact topic of Francesca’s POSTnote will be decided once she has started the fellowship in 2019. Francesca said ‘I’m absolutely thrilled to get the opportunity to contribute to academic research being turned into tangible policy change through the work POSTnote does.’ To keep up to date with Francesca’s research into urban nature and wellbeing for young people, and follow her experience in Westminster, find her on twitter @frankielboyd
